This is a simple and easy recipe to make pan cake at home. This Spinach Pancake recipe is an easy and tasty option to add the health benefit of spinach in our regular daily diet. This healthy and delicious recipe can be made in no time and requires a few ingredients which are generally available in home.


  • 1 Cup Chopped Spinach

  • 1 Small Onion

  • 4 Garlic Pod

  • 1 Green Chili

  • 3/4 Cup Flour

  • 2 tablespoon Semolina

  • 1/2 Cup Buttermilk 1/2 Cup Water

  • Pinch of Baking Soda

  • 1/2 Tablespoon Baking Powder

  • 1 Tablespoon Chopped Spring Onion

  • 1 Tablespoon Chopped Garlic

  • 1 Tablespoon Rani Sunflower Oil

  • 2 Cubes Grated Cheese

  • Oil for Brushing

  • Salt to Taste


  • Heat the 1 tablespoon Rani oil in a nonstick pan on medium heat.

  • Now add the chopped onion and garlic in to the pan, sauté it for 3 minutes.

  • Now add chopped spinach for a minute until it becomes soft. Now switch off the flame and let it be cool and transfer it into the mixture jar.

  • Make smooth paste of spinach.

  • Take a big bowl add flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, grated cheese, chopped spring onion and spring garlic in to the bowl, mix it well.

  • now gradually add the buttermilk into the flour and mix it well, make sure no lumps will remain.

  • Heat the nonstick pan, brush it with oil.

  • Make a small pancake with the help of ladle.

  • Serve hot with tomato sauce.

  • You can also use Rani Corn oil instead of sunflower oil.
